...Do Not Be Deceived!

There is an ugly trend that I have personally noticed in our society.For over a decade,it has been dominant.It is fast becoming a culture. Of a truth,it looks like a negligible issue but must be appropriately addressed for the sake of preserving the truth for posterity.I am not in any way surprised by the large number of people that may have been deceived or rather confused.

At this juncture,I want to ask some questions.Please help me to answer them and dont shun them.

Are we all christians?Are all those who go to church on sundays christians? Do we become christians by virtue of our parentage and good upbringing?Are we christians by virtue of our good morals,decent appearance or good works?Does taking responsibilities in the church convince one that he/she is a christian?Does baptism make us christians?

Are you still there?I have some more questions.

Are we christians because we get the things we desire from God at ease?Are we christians because we even speaks in other tongues?Are we all christians?I really want to know.

There has been serious confusion about the actual identity of a christian.The confusion has only succeeded in forcing people into fabricating and making use of multiple words and phrases just for the sole sake of identifying,defining and differentiating christians from non-christians(pagans).Someone recently said that the word 'love' is the most abused word in our society.I am of the opinion that it should be the word 'christian' and not love.It has been abused and bastardized.

Phrases like 'born again christian,''believing christian,''born again Holy Ghost-filled christian,''tongues-speaking born again christian' and even 'born again Holy Ghost-filled tongues-speaking demon-chasing christian.'

All these just succeeded in worsening the condition of the knotty problem instead of solving it.Just wait a minute before you crucify me! My point may be misunderstood but can not be thrown into the wastebin.With the much deception and noise of the so-called christians,others that are looking for direction are sincerely confused.They have decided to sit on the fence to watch what becomes of christendom.

But who is a christian?According to Acts of the Apostles chapter eleven and verse twenty six,christians are followers of Jesus who live the type of life that Christ Jesus lived while on planet earth.They possess same characters when compared with Christ.The people that were called christians in Antioch were recognised because of their lifestyle.They were simply like Christ in all they did,both in words and actions.They were not perfect men.Please dont murmur and dont say that I have come again. These church people sef! Who do they think they are? Just calm down! Christianity has really been bastardized for crying out loud and that is why a muslim can boldly challenge us by comparing islam with christianity.A muslim once boldly said that he had taken his time(about six months) to watch different pastors preach on the television and came to a conclusion that christianity teaches people how to get all that is in this world in the name of prosperity while islam teaches them how to make heaven.Imagine that! I dont even blame him because he was confused by our so called christianity.

Everybody is crying against corruption but who and who are involved?The same people speaking against corruption are actively involved in it.The same people that tell us to live crime turn around to become criminals .You must have understood me if you followed me from the beginning.

Christianity is not a label,I will always say.It is the life of Christ that is to be lived and must be lived.It does not matter what you think about what I am saying.It does not end in occupying exalted positions in our big cathedrals nor putting on crosses on our fingers and necks and 'Jesus-inscribed' clothes.It does not end in learning and using the language of the church.It does not even end in knowing the history of the church and her doctrines.

Please dont deceive yourself because that is the highest level of deceit.Tell yourself the truth at least for this once.Are you also a christian? Is Christ the Lord of your life?Dont allow ANYBODY to deceive you.Utilize the opportunity you have now and become a christian indeed because it is the only way to receive God's approval.You dont need to claim to be a christian.Come out of the 'deceived multitude' and decide for yourself now.

The Second Stanza Of The National Anthem: A National Prayer

The Nigerian National Anthem is usually performed at major events having to do with national pride,such as the President's address,major sporting events and at school where it is usually accompanied by Nigeria's National Pledge.
