Faithful Men Wanted !!

From all indications,it is becoming clearer to Nigerians that most famous people that we thought, served us well were mere 'criminals' that knew how best to manage their crimes so that it will remain perpetually hidden from the populace.Apart from the few cases of false allegations and very few innocent ones, most of our political office holders tend to become saints while in office but suddenly become EFCC candidates after serving.Their is usually a familiar tendency of starting to comb every corner of the nation in search of these men and women that were highly respected by the masses, maybe due to the few projects they were able to carry out while in office. Sometime last year,we heard that some honourable members of a particular state's house of assembly in this nation, had to take oaths of allegiance standing completely nude.We are in a nation where many evil things are perpetrated by the so-called politicians, who seek by all means, political positions even if it means assa

Facebook And My Observations

In the note,'Succeeding Through Social Networking,'Rise Risenewtorks exposed and emphasized the need to define the essence of our presence on social networks such as facebook, twitter, myspace, ning and the likes.Rise said that our puerile behaviours on those networks, actually paint the real picture of who we are and that it sells us in the manner we don't want to be bought. Mark Zuckerberg,an atheist, born on May 14,1984 gave birth to facebook, then at thefacebook.com.He's an American Entrepreneur and the youngest billionaire according to Forbes. At that time,he was a sophomore at the prestigious Havard university. The name for facebook came from the publications that some colleges pass out to students at the beginning of the year, called a Facebook. It was created as a way for Mark and other Havard students to keep in touch over the internet and get to know each other better.Facebook became popular,in just a matter of months, that it was soon opened to other colleges.By the end

The Return Of Dictatorship In Nigeria

In dictatorship, one person or a small group possess absolute power without effective constitutional limitations.Dictatorship can be traced back to the Roman Republic, where a temporary magistrate was granted extraordinary powers to deal with a state crises.Dictators usually resort to force or fraud to gain despotic political power, which they maintain through the use of intimidation, terror, and the suppression of others. Among the most extreme examples of dictatorship in recent history and modern times are Nazi Germany and North Korea, respectively.Dictatorship is not totalitarianism which describes a state that regulates nearly every aspect of public and private behaviour of the people.Countries like Burma,Chenchnya(controlled by Russia),Cuba,Libya,North Korea,Somalia,Sudan,Tibet(controlled by China),Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are under the strong holds of dictators.Others like Nigeria are not completely free. Etiquettes And Manners:Greeting Habits

This is the second volume. Greeting is an act of communication in which human beings(as well as other members of the animal kingdom)intentionally make their presence known to each other,to show attention to,and to suggest a type of relationship or social status between individuals or groups of people coming in contact with each other. While greeting customs are highly culture and situation specific and may change within a culture depending on social status and relationship, they exist in all known human cultures.Greetings can be expressed both audibly and physically, and often involve a combination of the two. Greeting are often, but not always, used just prior to conversation. Some epochs and cultures have had very elaborate greeting rituals,eg;greeting a king.Secret societies have clandestine greeting rituals that allow members to recognise common membership. By convention, formal letters in English commence with the salutation 'Dear' followed by the name or title of the recipient.I

One Thousand And One Opinions

There is the great need to remind the churches and fellow christians ,the need to be more sensitive and careful in the manner we handle the spiritual things and truth given to us through the bible and by the omnific God.The overseer of one of the notable pentecostal churches in our country once preached a message, warning people, especially the leaders of the orthodox churches to avoid making human opinions, the standard for their members to follow. Of recent,I've noticed an increase in false teachings and practices in even the pentecostal churches(including the very popular ones we know)which is usually as a result of the personal opinion(s) of just one person, mostly the General Overseers and Superintendents. These priests, overseers, superintendents, pastors, evangelists, apostles and prophets are usually 'over-respected',worshiped or feared by their members,to the extent that their words, even the poisonous, false ones are swallowed hook, line and sinker. They parade about as thin
