'...Pray Or Die!'

We are constantly faced with challenges that have pushed us to the wall.

The challenges are mere products of life. They present themselves even when the are unwanted. Such challenges had made many people to take drastic decisions that either brought peace to them or aggravated the present situation.

Challenges are obviously not accepted by anyone but has a way of coming around. Believe you me! Challenges cannot be avoided-for sure. The question one needs to ask is. How can I be free from these challenges?

In the Holy Bible(Matthew 26:36-47) lies an interesting story. Before this incident of the passage,Jesus clearly predicted His imminent betrayal, death and resurrection. He had envisaged the events and predicaments that would befall him. He had the foreknowledge of all that would be coming His way in a short while.

At a time,He decided to visit Gethsemane with some of His top disciples for the sole aim of praying.

Obviously, Peter,James, and John, who went with Him were respected members of the then church. John was known as 'the beloved' because he had a very close relationship with Jesus.Simon Peter could be regarded as the bishop of the church. Just know that the people that were involved in this, they were 'big men of God.'

Jesus had a burden that needed a level of relief. The burden of His impending molestation was heavy on Him and He went to pray. He resorted to prayer and asked for the assistance of these His great disciples.Gethsemane is a place of prayer. It is a place where burdens are lifted through prayer. At Gethsemane,He prayed passionately for the grace to overcome. He met His disciples sleeping after asking them to help Him pray. This happened for three consecutive times. If it was just once,Jesus would have trusted them to pray next time but after the third time He realised that He was 'on His own.'

Several times,we go to some respected people around us, demanding to be prayed for,as a way of receiving deliverance from God.Our challenges often drive us to pray-that is for those that see it as a way out.We have been assured in time past that we'll be prayed for, only to be forgotten at the long run. Assuredly, prayer is efficacious and has the ability to bring the 'prayee' out of trouble. It is a simple way of getting God's attention to our needs. IT WORKS. The truth remains that we have been disappointed by those that promised to pray for us. It is either that they did not pray at all or that they did not do it well.

This issue calls for our active involvement in praying for our deliverance in times of trouble. Everyone has equal access to God,provided the fellow has a cordial relationship with Him. God is still giving and will still give our prayers attention. He wants and likes hearing your own voice. last did you speak communicate Him as your father? What has hindered you from communicating? What? What is it? You may not come out of that problem until you personally pray to God. Just as you cannot receive the forgiveness of sin until you personally and sincerely ask God for it. Just imagine yourself praying for others and not being prayed for. Jesus was relieved because of His own prayers. It is either you pray or die with your challenges! Please Start Praying!
