HOW FAR?

We are more than two weeks into the new year. As usual, the clock is ticking every second and has no intention of compromising even the minutiest fraction of a second.

I was privileged to hear and read the resolutions of different people earlier this year.As a normal culture, people exchanged old bad habits with new good ones and vice versa. As some decided to remain as they were and continued in their former ways of life because of their inability to strictly abide by their new resolutions made in previous years, others thought of making some tangible positive changes. They did not just think about them nor wrote them down but got strategies that would help them achieve them.Another group decided to be more notorious and dangerous in their character.

Some showed their commitment by going the extra mile of discarding some of their belongings thought to discourage them from achieving their set goals. Some others purchased some materials that they thought would help them become better individuals.

How far?

I just wanted to know how far we've gone, whether our resolutions have been forgotten so soon.

It is less than three weeks into the year and before you know it,it will end.How far have you gone with your plans? My concern is just that people tend to be very passionate about their plans for only a short while.A week is even too much for an unserious fellow to completely forget his or plans and convictions. It is one thing to plan and another to see that it is brought to fruition.Resolutions and plans are just empty and dead without a conscious decision, good tenacity, hardwork and self discipline.

Someone recently said that she just began her own year. One may not be crucified for saying that she started late but what of those who said that they have started but have only succeeded in doing nothing?

At this juncture, let us consider some issues of great concern. We need concentrated discipline to achieve even the smallest part of our plans.Discipline demands being focused-defiling other things that look important. It demands saying 'NO' to every other good idea at that particular time in order to give proper, undivided and focused attention to your plans.Indiscipline will only leave you with unaccomplished plans at the end of the day.

A conscious decision is also required. Lack of decision can be seen in a person who wants to go to somewhere without knowing the route to take.He or she is yet to start.
The place of hardwork cannot be overemphasized. It demands putting everything in order.

PROCRASTINATION is the enemy of hardwork. Most things that were never done at the end of the day were mere products of procrastination with laziness as its elder brother.

My dear,I enjoin you to start now if you are yet to do that. Be focused, get disciplined, work hard and be ready for great achievements.Regret is sure if you fail to do this.

Remember that a little sleep,a little slumber,a little folding of hands(and a little procrastination) will definitely ,without favouritism bring poverty.

~REMAIN BLESSED~
