This Kind God ! (God Is Faithful)

It could be a sacrilege for me to think that nothing happened. For all the Lord did for me,I definitely cannot suppress the feeling of gratitude flowing from the depth of my heart.God has done great wonders for me.By now,you should know that wonders shall never end and that He does wonders without number.

We are in a brand new year and I count myself privileged to have seen myself in it. I know some people that lost their lives just towards the end of last year. Many of them must have planned one or two things to do this year. Their desires were cut short. Many of them were much younger than myself but have 'gone so soon.'I thank God for His privileges.

A good example of what I am talking about is the case of a lady in my department that died on the eve of christmas-about two hours before Christmas day.The sad news was that she was killed by a 'negligible' disease known as tetanus.

I want to specially thank God for the success He gave me in my recently concluded MB exam. The mock exam 'suddenly' started on monday, the 16th day of November,2009 after the Asuu strike that lasted for more than three months, due to the impasse between the federal government and members of Asuu.It came to an end on Wednesday, the 25th day of November,2009.The result was generally poor with few passes but was just an eye-opener to me.Far below my expectation,I narrowly 'escaped' in the three courses we offered.

With less than two weeks to write the main exam,we were striving to to 'break all fallow grounds.'It was not easy at all because the strike merely took away the enthusiasm to study.Time developed 'wings' and and started flying with every second very important at that time.On 7th December, the exam started. It ran through 22nd December,72 hours before christmas day.

The exam was very unique in many ways. The exam was written in a very spacious hall againt the wishes of many. Each student was made to sit alone on a pew. Another thing was the large number of students that made me to doubt if there wont be casualties after the exam.People who had one or two courses to resit also joined us. Coming to the questions, they were not funny at all. Some things seemed obviously absent from our textbooks.Infact, the exam was genevally far above what it used to be-just believe me.The practical aspect was another 'terror.'I can even remember what happened during the oral exam.I was walked out of laboratory by an external examiner because of a mistake.God is faithful!

Most of us actually knew what we came for after writing that exam.Pressure was very high as we waited for the results because no one knew the next thing on the list.We patiently waited for the result but it was not released. While I was far away in Jos,I received a phone call that it has finally been pasted. I enquired to ascertain the state of my result. To my greatest surprise,I had a 100% pass. God is faithful.

I cannot claim that I read more than many that had problems, it was just God.I had the privilege to be actively involved in my fellowship in school to the extent that it gave me serious concern due to the exam. I rather trusted God to help me.The large number of students was another serious issue to contend with.Funny things were done by desperate people.I was only with God in the exam hall, resisting any form of compromise. It was God that helped me to pay up all my fees and at the same time escaping any distraction that would have come from it.Though I burnt midnight candles and spent quality time studying with my friends,I knew that God was also doing His own part.

I was encouraged by Romans 4 verse 4.Beloved,God is faithful. He only requires our complete and not partial obedience. He is faithful to the extent that even in our unfaithfulness,He remains faithful.

As you thank God with me this great wonder, know that He is a specialist in rewarding those who passionately shun any form of compromise for His name sake.
